Our History

KeyPoint Technologies was founded in 2004 by Sanjay Patel. The inspiration for the company came when Patel’s brother lost an arm in a motorcycle accident.  This subsequently made it difficult for him to use a keyboard, so Patel started looking for ways to improve the input experience for his brother. When he investigated possible solutions, he found that most common approach to the problem was from an ergonomics or keyboard layout angle but not looking at using linguistics and software to cut down the keystrokes required. KeyPoint Technologies was born out of this insight.

KeyPoint Technologies is based in Glasgow, UK with offices in India and the USA – but operates globally serving device manufacturers in key markets such as USA, Europe, Korea, Taiwan and Canada.
